CHECK OUT OUR NEW MEETUP.com PAGE

Mosaic Outdoor Club of Massachusetts has a new meetup.com web page. Please visit http://adventurers.meetup.com/88/ and sign up to become a member. You will receive periodic e-mails reminders about our events. Fill out a profile so that we can plan events that better serve your needs. You will also be able to RSVP to some of our events as well.

Change of plans? Please contact the TC                                                                             If you have RSVP’d for an event and your plans change, please let the TC know that you won’t be coming so he/she will not wait for you at the meeting point or to begin the event. This is particularly important when reservations have been made at a restaurant or other venue. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Interested in leading a trip?
Please contact Anne Exter, our Program Director with your ideas. Day trips can be added to Shofar Lite and this site at any time.

RSVP

Why do some Mosaic activities have an RSVP date?

  • Sometimes, we need to make reservations for the group based on likely attendance. The club could lose money if we do not work with the outside deadlines. We may need an advance deposit from those planning to attend.

  • Some trips have a limited capacity, and we cannot accommodate however many people show up on the day of the trip.

  • Some trips require certain equipment, clothing, experience, or fitness, and the TC needs to speak with every person interested prior to the trip.

  • Sometimes, the TC will decide whether there are enough people interested in the trip on the day of the deadline. If there are not enough people who have contacted the TC by that time, a trip could be cancelled.

Also, if you have RSVP'ed for a trip, but you are unable to attend, it would be considerate to notify the TC. On a trip with limited space, it will allow someone else to go. Also, it means that the TC knows they do not need to have the whole group wait for you.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We support carpooling for a number of reasons:
- Environmental – we are an environmental organization
- Limited parking at some destinations and trailheads
- Not all members have a car, and could not attend some trips without carpooling
- Expense - Riders should ask drivers about reimbursement for gas and parking expenses at the start
